Lately I have been working on planing Geekgirl Meetup Oresund. It is a meetup that focus on girls that are interested in the webb and technic meeting up to present and learn from each other. This time we meet in Helsingborg at Dunkers with a wonderfull sea view and lovely rooms. Due to our sponsors we were able to arrange this with admision free for all attendents.

Was at TedX Malmoe the other day.
Three interesting speakers with different topics. Most inspiring from Hampus Jakobsson, co-founder of TAT talking about three most important things he would do if he would start a new company.
Paul Clements from TBWA and Patrick O'Casey from Blotnik Studios were the other two.
The TedX event containted 2 regular clips from TED.com, speakers and mingel.

Lokaliker my 24 hour project

This week 24 hours business camp took place in Stockholm. As my interest for different busines idea I decided to take part and put together a strong team. Together we build www.lokaliker.com and with that an Android and iPhone app. Lokaliker is an brilliant and easy app that gives you the possbility to like places in realtime anonymous. During almost a week you can now vote on our 24 hour project and make sure you like the places you like so other people can learn where to go.

Spent the weekend at Geekgirl Meetup in Stockholm and listen to lots of brilliant and intelligent women that motivated me. The thing that I like the most at these Meetups is the fact that the standard on the presentations are on avarage very high.

Geeky girls

We are doing a geek girl pub evening in Malmo in October... Decided that there has to be more people that are interested in a Meetup then the few of us that attended in Stockholm in spring last time...
My reason for making this happen in Malmo is because lots of girls are asking for it to happen, to meet, be geeky and find some other geeky girls. Some because they don't have that many geeky girlfriends, some because they want to expand their female network and some because they want to be at a Geeky event where there is more then 20 % women.
In my opinoin this is a good enough explanation for making it happen right now. I hope that this will result in a GeekMeetup for everyone...

U2 live makes people chat at Bambuser

We have seen Bambuser showing itself from one of it's best sides... During a stream from the U2 concert in Poland people started to chat like crazy.

As the time went by people from all over the world where joining in, hi from Croatia, from Austria etc... Love, french, english, spanish, german... people started to talk about where they had seen them before...
The most interesting is that even though the picture changed only every now and then the sound was perfect and people with the same interested had a place to meet.

Stress measurement- Warning!
I realized yesterday that I have been out of reach and totally cut of from the rest of the world for almost a week.
Well anyhow the interesting part is how I measured it... by realizing that I haven't logged into Facebook for a couple of days because I literally have had to much to do. It would be totally fine if it was because I had given myself Facebook recstriction but I am afraid it just slipped my mind...

Future women of Sweden

Was invited to participate in a panel discussion at "framtidens kvinnliga ledare gala" where a list over the 75 young future leaders of Sweden were presented. It was held for the third year in a row and it was very interesting to see the event. Lots of women, I think around 600 people in total, a couple of older guys and a couple of younger, but mostly women. Pink slides and with TV4 reporter Jenny Ostgren as moderator. The discussion in the panel where about affirmative action to get more women into leading positions in Sweden. The two others participating in the panel were "Ledarna" the leader organization of Sweden's chairman Annika Elias and Per Schlingmann party secretary for Swedens leading party. They said that they are looking for some action plan to get more women into leading position. In my point of view, we need to change the way we look at women and men, we need to go back to the roots where we start to distinguish between boys and girls. The difference starts sometimes even before we are born... blue or pink... pink clothes pink slides...

Broken iPhone

Julia Allison... nonsociety.com talked about new media vs. old media at Next yesterday... I would say that new media isn't new anymore in the way we are talking about it. I would like to start to talk about futurity s media. In technic and media discussions we need to look beyond Twitter, facebook and Flickr. We should start to talk about the integration, the connection between different services... maybe status.net will be the new solution
